Tbh, I was thinking about this. Can every anon poster just put, dxample, random 2 letters and 4 mumbers at the end of their subs and if it never gets posted ask the blog why their CC4444 sub wasn't posted - it got eaten by tumblr and they can repost or actual explanation why it was deleted.
So, I've had a few folks send me some comments/concerns about this, and I wanted to address it:
There is a mindless-flight on tumblr that is empty. It is NOT me. Idk who made the blog or when/why. It's very likely someone just liked the URL and is just hoarding it.
I DO have a blog for "me" (as the ARR mod) just in case, but I have not used it, so I won't link it for now.
So if anyone does start shit on tumblr, claiming to be me, unless I link the blog here, it ain't me.
Side note, if you need to anonymously ask me something, my only entry on my DW has screened comments, so you can comment there, and it'll be screened- until I reply to it, that is. I do apologize to anyone I've missed comments for, I've been bad about checking the comments there.
But we never use it for nefarious reasons, nor do we EVER post it anywhere, etc. We just use it to make sure no one is having a conversation with themselves to stir up drama.... or if we have evidence of who you are, and are white-knighting yourself.

Re: Saltminerising Patreon (their response/apology, it's not that great IMO)
My thoughts are: wow, that's pathetic. Both the potshots and thinking that the solution to someone's lack of groceries is a drama blog patreon (which is just wtf, I would have been more accepting if that patreon was a straightup want to profit).
Re: Saltminerising Patreon (their response/apology, it's not that great IMO)
I honestly thought I was missing something, because, while I never got into the whole live journal thing except to read things, ARR seems relatively straightforward? There are links to specific threads, view to see all submissions etc..
Re: Saltminerising Patreon (their response/apology, it's not that great IMO)
yeah idgi either bc reddit works this way too with threaded comments and that's used by a lot of people including gen z. maybe people don't use either LJ or reddit and are't used to threaded comments in general.
It's okay to talk about cosmetic add-ons here. (Vasemod and I have talked/bitched a LOT about this)
Our reasoning is:
*FR's current accessibility is shit. *Cosmetic mods may change the APPEARANCE, but aren't changing FUNCTIONS, like a script. *Lack of function changes=/= unfair/automated advantages like bots. *There's general add-ons for entire browsers that enable dark mode (And they work on FR without having a specific code for it. It's not perfect and can cause issues, hence why a stylus theme is necessary.)
So dark mode mods? Something that changes the font that helps your dyslexia? Go for it. (I use the same dark mod add-on that was mentioned earlier, and it's saved me from many, many migraines.)
It's links to scripts, coli/AH bots, etc that aren't allowed. Vigilante Accessibility is one thing, but cheating? Naw. We don't advocate that here. (Git gud, play without cheating)
When you want to swap in dragon trade threads but TwilightBlue is literally the last poster in all of them. I kinda want to send my 10 dragons to multiple people. Sending all of them to the same person just isn't as fun
I love participating in dragon swap threads and it really is demoralizing to receive multiple siblings from the same clutch from them in two completely different themed threads lmao
Re: Saltminerising Patreon (their response/apology, it's not that great IMO)
you know, I decided to look at drr and saw that apology... then ventured out to the comments where the usual asskissers appeared... then went to their blogs because I really do want to block them on FR... and then umm, what
"do not interact if you: are legally and biologically below the age of 18"
Does anyone else here get stressed then a little upset when they miss out on slot limited accents? Personally don't like them, time limited isn't so bad as those of all time zones can typically have a chance. I think that anything which is 10 or 20 slot should have it's own ping list for those who are lucky enough to have the stars align, crops watered and time zones be on their side.
Have missed out on some gorgeous work that will either sit in someone's hoard for years on end or be resold for three times the price.
Artists can do what they want at the end of the day. However, is it unreasonable to suggest that they make a separate ping list for such in the future?
Yup. That's why my gasp is set for no limited accents. Time limited ones that have no run limits aren't really limited and don't usually see that tag. I sometimes still get pings for the wrong stuff, but I ignore that, or if any artist consistently ignores my tags, I block them.
There's no way to politely ask artists to not ping for that stuff without getting a tantrum, so I don't do individual artist ping lists anymore unless I can't live without their work, and most of those I like don't do limited.
"Time limited ones that have no run limits aren't really limited"
Hmm, as an artist I've been tagging all my time limited ones as limited... This is making me wonder if I shouldn't? I don't want to annoy anyone with the wrong tags but I also want more potential buyers to see my stuff.
As an artist, I do two runs for each of my accents to start off with. They get shelved afterwards, but if enough people want a copy, I'll do a reprint run.
I'm a relatively new artist, so I don't get a lot of interest, so doing limited slots at first is what I do.
