I was explaining the lanyard outrage to my friend and was trying to recount the stupidest events fr players have had a meltdown over. My current list:
-exalting, in general
-map got changed
-before that, map did not get changed fast enough
-g1 dragon sold to wrong person
-new gene/item sucks and is direct attack on playerbase

G1 got sold to the wrong person...haha what? that sounds like it was fun to watch as it went down

iirc it happened a few times, people being mad that various g1 collectors they didn't like winning auctions or taking autobuys

the only g1 sold to the wrong person i'm acquainted with is when someone meant to send me a pa and accidentally listed the dragon on realmwide and it got bought by someone else

it wasn't really drama though just a silly occurrence (i did get the dragon back so no harm no foul)

the astrology familiar thing. i don't remember the details, but wasn't one of the signs pissed off for some dumb reason?

i still think of "this is capricorn discrimination" so often
amazing because it was right during the BLM riots too. holy shit the entitlement.

people getting very upset about the economy once imps started selling for 100k and lower

back when aequorin announced she was getting married and therefore couldn't post that months words on the wind some community members got so mad that they started a change petition to have her fired. it circulated on tumblr for a bit before an older user shut them down and got it deleted.

Seems legit. Fire this staffer because no one else will do their job while they get married.

Users claiming they no longer felt safe because staff made a Black Lives Matter post and basically all but coming out as racists.

when staff confirmed abyss web/shell was correct and intentional during the veil release, there was one user who got SO pissed about it because they felt it was an error still and staff was just giving into users who liked it, and they were so unnecessarily nasty and mean to staff over it that they got themselves banned lmao. maybe not the biggest drama, but that response to one weird gene color choice was so stupid and over the top to me that i still remember it and chuckle.

it was Midorikage. most of their comments are gone (there was a main thread where people were discussing it but it was deleted), but i was able to pull this hilarious (now deleted) comment from the announcement thread. i think this is the specific one that may have got them banned in fact:
