Honestly the FR devs kind of shot themselves in the foot by not including a toggle. People get angry every April Fools and they included toggles in previous years, so I don't understand how they didn't forsee this reaction. Plus it's MistJam. If this wasn't during a fest I think more people would just be like "eh, I'm not a fan so I'll just do something else today nbd," instead of getting so up in arms about it.

I know I would appreciate a toggle personally. The prank was cute when I first saw it, but now I'm definitely one of the people getting motion sick haha.

im genuinely asking because im really confused, but the april's fools is just that the dragons are rotated randomly, right? Like it's the same static image but just rotated 90/180/270 degrees? I dont entirely understand where the motion sickness discussion is coming from so I was wondering if I missed something

If it was just one dragon in isolation it wouldn't effect me. It's fine in the coli too, since that's just 1-3 dragons. It's the act of looking at my lair and seeing *everything* rotated at once, even in my peripheral vision, that's fucking me up. Flipping through my dragons' bios while bonding with my familiars creates a spinning effect in my brain too. Not bad enough to make me want to puke or anything, but enough to make me slightly queasy. I'm prone to getting motion sick in general though, so maybe I'm just more sensitive to this kind of stuff than most people.

But ultimately I don't think this is a massive deal. It was a fun concept, and everything will be back to normal tomorrow.

I'm prone to motion sickness, and I'm already a little queasy from something unrelated, but I saw my front lair page with just two dragons and immediately had to nope out of there because it was making me sick. I have no idea why such a seemingly innocuous change would affect me so badly and dramatically, but it did. Thankfully, I guess, I can mostly ignore my lair for today and go back to it tomorrow. Although I had been intending on exalting a couple of dragons today that idk if I can stomach. Oh well.

I love how done this person is, and I'm genuinely shocked the devs haven't removed that for "speaking out against ba sing se" yet.

I was kind of hoping that every time I'd refresh my dragon it would be at a different angle but ah well haha. It gave me a chuckle at least.

I was surprised by that too. I wonder if there's any rhyme or reason for which dragons got rotated which ways. Seems like it would be more effort to (even automatically) randomize a unique but static rotation for each individual dragon than a single 'every time you generate a dragon image, rotate it randomly' rule.

Both the gift and the lair got a chuckle out of me. Really cute ideas! Although I'm kind of hungover so the lair is making my stomach lurch a bit if I look at it too long lmao.

Welp. Do you think it's worth grabbing alternative bags now, or is the price going to go down? I can never remember.
