What are some cool tips and tricks you wished you knew as a new player?

A lot of the armor and unique apparel just isn't popular with players and ends up being used as alchemy fodder. Look at the prices on the AH

but they recently mentioned on twitter that it is in development, that was a very calculated pr move

the question is asking where we see FR in 10 years time. so yes, the team is very small and therefore can't be expected to deliver on all these things that their userbase expects (and we expect it because of what said team has told us about their plans). i wouldn't call us "lucky" - i can't see FR having much longevity if they continue with this same team model.

Not really "new player" info per se, but rather how to bond with familiars in a less butt achey way.What i like to do is

Have a window with only two tabs in it.
Tab 1: The dragon profile
Tab 2: The same dragon, but the 'choose familiar' window you get by clicking the twisting/switching arrows under the current familiar

Have the following:
Bond status: not bonded today
Bond level: anything but 'bonded' it's up to you what you wanna cycle through

What to do:
STEP 1: 'bond' with current familiar on the dragon tab. DO NOT press 'close'. Leave the 'bonding with familiar' window open

STEP 2: press ctrl+tab on your keyboard to cycle to the 'choose familiar' tab

STEP 3: click any familiar

STEP 4: ctrl+tab to cycle right back to the dragon profile. the 'bond with familiar' window should still be up

STEP 5: press 'close' and the page will automatically refresh with the new familiar

STEP 6: press bond, but do not close that window

STEP 7: ctrl:tab again to chose a new familiar

STEP8+: rinse and repeat until you go through all your fams

I know this probably isn't ground breaking but i wish I had known this when the profiles first revamped. i dont know if theres a guide but if so hopefully they can explain better than me.

I know it’s an anon community but That person is really annoying the hell out of me lol

I've been looking at the IPs and trying to squash them- there's been some that were screened without anyone ever seeing them. Sadly, it's impossible to ban IP addresses, especially since vpns can be used. All we can do is try to screen them and keep them from getting the attention they so desperately crave.

edit: It IS the same person in some cases, but different folks/vpn users in other cases. (Yes, it's easy to tell if you're a dumb ass about it).

because we've been hearing "FR will end soon" since 2014 and it's not original nor interesting
just quit FR if you think it will end soon and leave the rest alone

If you have a monitor big enough that it isn't an issue, you can have the two tabs up side by side so you don't have to flicker through them! The tab flicking is what I do on my laptop but on desktop I just have the two windows beside each other.

V good advice tho and what anyone working through bonding their fams should do. (also thank gods they fixed the 'choose familiar' page refreshing/wiping your settings every time you chose a fam, that was the Worst.)

I like the apparel. Dunno if I’ll ever find use for it, but the concept is neat

also i actually like most of the skins and accents for once. I am a fan of simpler of stuff so this is down my alley. Welp, time to grind till i die!
