It was suggested because every time, without fail, it becomes the same discussion about 888/Brightmyth and staff favoritism. Folks were tired of the same discussion, and Vasemod and I were tired of having to watch the same conversation (usually between the same group of people) devolve into petty non-salt related hand slapping.

And if Vasemod and I ban any talk about 888 festival shit, it looks like we're showing favoritism and would start another argument, so this was the best way to compromise.
