ok I think everyone who claims "that crest should just be redrawn" has no idea how much work went into this, what an organizing mess it would be, and how much it would even cost.
almost every gene has to be redrawn, and on top of that there's masses of usermade accents now, either submitted, or in the earth contest thread that will no longer work once redrawn. artists that spend the last weeks, months working on the genes will be paid to redraw genes they had already worked on.
removing the fae bulge years ago is an easy fix. redrawing something big like this is not.
"shouldn't be too hard to add more feathers" my ass. especially on the female pose where the crest covers a lot of the back wing.
