benefit of the doubt, this could be an unfortunate case of not thinking things through before sending the message.
genuine curiosity about why they want gems + unrelated apology that they're not buying
i've sent messages like this before, not meaning it in a gult-trippy or begging way, and then only realised afterwards how it actually looks.
