It's not the players job to reach out. A name is either against the rules or it's not. If it's against the rules, report it. If it's not against the rules, it's none of your business. If you aren't sure, report it and let the staff deal with it.

No matter how politely someone reaches out about something they deem problematic on FR, it still comes across as rude. It doesn't really matter if you are right or not, it's always going to boil down to: "Hey, here is this thing you are doing that I find offensive. Either you are an asshole and knowingly offending me or you are stupid. But don't worry! I'm here to help you fix it." There is a reason mini-modding is against the rules.
