Someone makes a post. We see their IP. A few comments down, they've replied again, same IP. Same person. If it's someone being an ass, we make note of it.
In the case of Rowan, he outed himself with different things- a specific note in the bio of one of his dragons, etc. Made note of the IP. Later saw him white-knighting himself/being antagonistic, same IP, called him out.
