Guesses as to whether it will be possible to get both fest currency and event currency from a given action?

I'm expecting it to be starfall currency only, bc a. that would presumably be simpler to code in than having to account for separate drop tables and b. having the deadline to get pirate event currency effectively be several days before the deadline to exchange it with zero warning beforehand would be a very FR thing to do

part of me is hoping we have a repeat of last months TCC drop table fuckup. 45 gathering turns was so sexy

This is why I'm not going to use my gathering turns right away. I usually get going as soon as the event starts, but it really bit me in the ass for that one. Gonna let other people test out whether their turns are being wasted this time.

My bet is intent to have both with it breaking and not giving arcane currency.

I tested it- I got doubloons and shards at the same time with a few of my turns, sometimes just doubloons, sometimes just shards.

WAnt to confirm, I got both dubloons and arcane currency in one action.

I had wondered about it as well, and was pleased to find out that you can get both, so you aren't being 'shorted' on either currency.

Yes, it's definitely a good thing, and not just for today - with more and more of these theme holidays, this is surely not the only time we're ever going to see more than one event happening concurrently.

I had thought that this was a test/experiment for just this. So that in the future, more things can overlap with holiday festivals, and not have to worry about not being able to get the items for both events.

Which, while I am pretty sure there would be a lot of people complaining about the overlap, I feel is actually a good thing. (this is if we get a larger event, not just minor overlap with like the pirate day stuff etc..)

Yea. And it's not less each because of both. I got 9 combined currency sometimes.

I don't pay attention to the numbers, so it is good to know that you aren't getting less of either currency.

I have the feeling that each event has its own 'loot table' and drop chance. So, they aren't competing at all with each other. Just with RNG.
