maybe this is just me being cynical but from the email's content it looks like the "mom" account was given a ton of stuff when all the multi accounts ended. if multiple users you dont know about send you stuff out of the blue, wouldnt you feel a bit confused? to me this feels like the email's writer is just trying to preserve the one account that they had multiple accounts funnel into, as it had the most valuable stuff.
if this is someone who is innocent that sucks, but why wouldnt the mother just send this email themself if the ban impacts them specifically? why get your TOS-breaking kid to do it?
This looks so odd. Even if there is two real people that exist, I would suspect that the kid used mom's info on the "good" account and so that she could use her id to try to get unbanned.
Thinking about it, yea, I'm betting damage control.
