Could be an attempt at the opposite. I could totally see a 13-year-old version of myself making an environmental PSA to try and seem more responsible and conscientious to the mods of a site I was on. Obviously in reality it has the exact opposite effect in breaking the rules, but I can definitely see how a kid could think it the other way around.

I'm betting this is it. They talk about still being in grade school, so they're a kid doing what they think sounds grown up and responsible. The whole post screams "well intentioned but naive"
