for real I am so tired of people casually giving out personal information on the internet
you think it's harmless, but it's not! I've had friends who were doxed because of their name and birthday being known. (and in more extreme cases.... their new house that they moved into found on zillow because people compared photos of their *fireplace* that was in a picture they posted to fireplaces of homes on the website of the city they were located)
ANY information is risky :(

:( my biggest wish for the last 9 years has been for FR to add commas to numbers. i cant parse them and have to paste into notepad and add commas myself

It's been awhile since I've seen such upsetting mix of "100% agree" and "100% disagree, wtf" (specifically the thing you called the yikes pages).
I personally find it absolutely funny that a couple of weeks ago smr had a shitstorm about "arr doxxes people with IPs!!!" and now they are having this "discussion" about ID verification. Absolutely amazing ignorance.

there are barely any asks on SMR that even so much as reference ID verification. iirc the person who dropped the screenshots for clout (1sun1spirit?) said something to the effect of LFD having nothing in place to stop minors lying, but they're the only jackass to come close to both referencing ID verification and saying it should be a thing.

This "event" was always in need of a revamp given how much hype there was always leading up to it. These changes turn Pirate Day from "haha spend real money ;)" into "haha spend currency and /maybe/ real money ;)" and I'm here for it. All the new items are great.

If male pearlcatchers had a Patches pose instead of that weird contortion they do have, I would have a million of them.
I do feel like I should get out of the habit of doing my dailies right after rollover though. Even when it's only one day of missed loot drops in a weeklong event, I'd still prefer not to miss them. Would need to set some kind of reminder so I don't end up forgetting later in the day, however...
I love that Patches has a prosthetic hand to hold his pearl :D
