First extended downtime in recent memory?

There are a couple of posts on saltminerising about this being the first really long/disruptive downtime since early hyper-buggy FR (and/or since open reg), and I could swear I remember one or two just in the last couple of years that were long enough that A) we got a free sitewide feed and B) people were asking about downtime fams/presents. Am I losing it?
