Re: Natron #430074

IQ is a baseless measurement centered around class/race anyway, and has no standing in actual intelligence.

I was IQ tested when I was younger because I taught myself to read at 2 1/2, and was reading high school level books when I was 7, and understood at age 10 during history class that Animal Farm was an allegory to the Russian Revolution- I'd read it at age 8.

My IQ results were 165.

Yet, I'm a dumb ass whose only real "area of high intelligence" is microbiology, physiology/anatomy, literature and reading. I actually have dyscalculia, and can't do even basic remedial algebra without SERIOUS help/aides, and have problems remembering formula, dates, and faces.

It caused serious Gifted Kid burnout for me, and literally disappointed my mother so much that it caused her to neglect me in favor of her other kids, and I've been in therapy for it for YEARS lol.

As Einstein said: “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

Anyone who brags about a high IQ and takes it seriously has never had their entire life pressed down by the expectations brought on by it, has a complex to compensate for something else, or has drank the koolaid.

(Or all three)
