Re: Minor/Petty Salt Thread - McAlli

NAYRT (but have replied elsewhere)

One of the reasons I want them to revisit the prices is because, while it might not be too bad *now*, if (when) they add more skins in the future, if they just slap them in for treasure, it will get bad.

I also think it would *help* their ability to act as a treasure sink if the prices were lowered. Not to dirt cheap, but enough to keep it so that maxing the fairgrounds during the fest will still get you a full set. There have been many people in the various threads on this saying they went from buying full skins, to just skins they might use, to only one or two skins per fest. Which means, the treasure sink has become *less* effective over time. When I first started I used to buy all the skins because I never knew what I would want to use in the future and I would rather get it when it is easy to get than try to get it later. I think I bought one skin this past fest. I am not even sure I brewed a skin. That means that instead of dumping 300,000+ per fest, I spend about 70,000 per fest.

As for why using the fairgrounds, it is because it is a set amount of treasure per day. Typically can be earned during a set amount of time (ie, X will take you Y minutes to do one round and gets you Z amount of treasure). Which means it is a easy way to calculate what most people *can* earn per day. Some people can earn more by doing other activites, some people don't/can't do fairgrounds and so earns less. But it is at least a baseline of what can be earned.
