I like both but I definitely do lean more towards ancients. In my case, when I go to gene up a modern I get frustrated when I try to find a tert I'm happy with- I don't know if I just like the linebreakers more or if ancients just have a nicer variety or what. Moderns really need more terts.

Ancients are also a lot easier to gene up. Putting a gem gene on a modern is 'oh no I better make sure I really want this that is a lot of gems.' Whereas with ancients it's 'hee hoo gem genes go brrr'
