It's really ridiculous. People less versed in the market see those prices and think they'll actually get a price in that range for their dragons, when really it's so far beyond the reasonable realm of probability that it's laughable. Just like people trying to price things based only on LAH - like, no, regular bred 5-digits don't actually go for 35kg unless they're G1 or Earth element. They're still 20kg. Dragons you see on the auction house are the ones NOT being bought. There are some 6-digits listed on the AH that I just see over and over again because people are too stubborn to lower the price.
Adding @/Blackiebelle to the list of price inflaters for that exact reason - #603722 did Not sell for 4000g last year & chances are he's Not selling for 4kg this year, either. Don't people get sick of relisting the same auctions over and over again? Lower your prices and ya might actually sell something!
Sometimes I know it's people trying to recoup costs of scatterscrolling or whatever, but you're never gonna get that back. It's always a gamble, and when you lose, you gotta eat the loss - speaking as someone who has also scattered & sold oldies. You're paying for the thrill of RNG.
Also weird how Alyxsandre, potentially the most public/notorious scatterscroller on the website (unless maybe you count that one guy who is spending the full ass 350kg to scroll a random dragon 1000 times... in honor of... the thousandth episode of One Piece...), wants to sell that one super scattered dragon Only to someone who won't Imp scroll him. Why? He's an unbred G1 5-digit. He's the perfect candidate for an Imp scroll. "Once you sell it, it's no longer yours" is such a simple yet oft-forgotten concept on FR. You get the money, and your buyer gets the control. End of transaction.
Re: After - ridiculous 7digit pricing?
