I started in Plague because I adored it- the eyes, the lore, the aesthetics, Plaguebringer, all of it.

The discord was great- until people given admim/mod privileges became trigger happy. Dom became more of a militant thing that caused a rift in the community, and people were getting strikes, even muted in discord if the mods didn't like what they were saying.

I ended up going to Shadow, because it was my second favouite aesthetic, lore, etc. I only dipped into the discord for a little bit, and it's actually pretty dead, so I dipped back out, and I now just quietly enjoy Shadow on my own.
