Same. I really don't like breakup/mosaic themselves all that much, but was thrilled when I saw the announcement because hopefully it means they're not keeping 'ancients must have exclusive pattern genes or they're no longer SPECIAL!' as a policy.
(And to anon above me, I kind of feel like porting an ancient gene to modern breeds has to be at least slightly less work than conceptualizing an entire new modern gene from scratch, so unless they were throttling back on releasing new genes in general, I'm not sure why the notion would be abandoned as not worth it.)
