Can confirm.
Back in 2013 during the Thrage incident, I (stupidly) threatened to request a refund on my purchases if something wasn't done.
I didn't even DO IT- just threatened to.
Still woke up to being banned. So I went and requested a refund anyway. Got my money back, turned around, made a new account, and started over again.
But yeah. You don't even have to actually request a refund, just mentioning you MIGHT do so will get you banned.
